Meet Florida Attorney Juan Pyfrom
I have spent virtually my entire adult life in service to my county, I understand the sacrifice and commitment that teachers and public safety officers provide to our communities. I value my service and continue to serve my country and community by lending my 20-plus years of legal experience to local families.
I graduated from Florida A & M University. I earned my Juris Doctorate from the Stetson University College of Law. Prior to law school, I served nine years as a Combat Engineer on active duty in the United States Army where I attained the rank of Captain and commanded an Engineer Company during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. During the first Gulf War, I was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and Meritorious Service Medal.
After the first Gulf War, I taught high school for a year before attending law school at Stetson Univ. College of Law. While in law school, I interned at the South Florida Water Management District, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and a private law firm specializing in Civil Rights and Labor & Employment Law. After a short while working in the private sector, I heard the call to service once again.
In 1999, I was commissioned an officer in the US Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. As an Army JAG Officer, I served in multiple overseas assignments and represented a broad range of clients, including individual soldiers. I deployed four additional times in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn. I also represented the U.S. Government in negotiations involving U.S. interests in Germany, Iraq, Kuwait, South Korea, and Japan.
I recently retired from active duty as a Colonel with more than 20 years of legal experience. I personally provided legal services to dozens of individual service members and supervised the delivery of legal services to hundreds more. I was trained as a mediator while serving in the Army and will bring that same kind of dedication to duty, discipline, focus, and commitment to meeting your legal needs.
